How to Recover Snapchat Photos/Videos?

Snapchat is a unique app that can brings a lot of fun. It’s getting popular and popular among teenagers, since teenagers are the main users of snapchat. You can use the app to take photos, videos, and add text, then send it to specific users. The most incredible features is that you can decide how much long the receiver can view it. The time range is 1 second to 10 seconds. Once receiver opens the photo or video, it will be deleted when the time is up. Method one: Find the cache of deleted files on your android phone.
Snapchat claims that the message is deleted after the recipient view it for limited time. However, the deleted data can be found in a particular files. Only after the cache of temporary files is cleaned, the data will be deleted. All snapchat files are stored on your phone with a .nomedia extension. All kinds of apps are ignoring this file type, which makes the data is invisible. Here below is where the snapchat stored data. So dig it up, you can find the deleted data and recover snapchat pictures.



Method two: Recover snapchat data by using Dumpster.
Dumpster works as the recycle bin at your android phone. It supposed to recover save and recover accidentally deleted, lost data from your android. Then, people found that this app can actually recover snapchat video. Just turned on the app, and you can find the snapchat videos on Dumpster.

  1. For some reason, I am trying to do this with my Note 5 and I cannot find the Cache folder for the Snapchat files nor can I get the phone to show up as a Drive on the Asoftech Data Recovery. I also had a problem with other recovery methods as well like the Jihosoft Data Recovery software. Please help.

  2. I am also having a similar problem - I have downloaded the app on my laptop but when I plug the phone into the computer, it doesn't register and only offers to scan the 'local C drive'. Any advice?

  4. I'm having the same issue with my S5 - I can't recover my saved snapchat that used to be saved in my gallary. The gallary is now empty. I tried the folder pathway and it's emptyour also.

  9. Does anyone know how to recover your Snapchat stories after they're deleted if you have a new phone?
    I had save my Snapchat stories on to my old phone but then I broke it and my stories are gone so I've lost all my photos and videos. SOS.

  10. My /data/data/com.snapchat.android/cache folder doesn´t have the received_snaps folder any more. Any ideas how to retrieve then the data? I have read about a file called bananas, but i don´t see it neither

  14. i have went to com.snapchat.android, and clicked on cache, there is nothing there!! i have found .nomedia files in other folders, but absolutely nothing in snapchat folder. no received snaps, no nothing. I even tried to rename the .nomedia in other folders, and it wouldnt let me, and it wouldnt let me open them either. Show hidden files is on. HOW DO I VIEW EXPIRED SNAPS?????
